Marcus Eddie and his team did a fantastic job. The effect is very cool and looks just like it does
on the video.
Pros:
Simple to make gimmick, but Marcus really takes his time to
explain it in detail. Thank you for that, Marcus. You are a joy to watch and you're an excellent
teacher.
Several variations are taught to suit every style and most situations.
The bill can be examined thoroughly after the effect is done.
Although this is not
pointed out on the video, for a special situation, the bill could be signed and kept as a souvenir.
But you'd probably have to make another gimmick since they are made to fit each bill specifically.
Cons: (none of these are deal breakers, but should be pointed out)
You must not be
back-lit. The gimmick will show. Note that most of the video was shot at night and heavily
front-lit. Marcus points this out in the video and explains that if you are performing in sunlight,
just face the sun. Don't let it backlight you.
The promo indicates a "borrowed bill". It's
a switch. Marcus explains several very good ways to do this, so the audience will be convinced the
bill really is borrowed.
At the end of the effect, the gimmick must be palmed away. Again,
Marcus demonstrates this in fantastic detail and has really thought through the clean up. I'm
emphasizing this because there's a close up shot in the promo where Marcus quickly heals a bill and
immediately sets it into the hand of a spectator (looks like Nicholas Lawrence's hand :) and shows
his hands completely empty. The spectator would have to be in on the secret for that move to look
exactly like it does in that section of the promo. It was partly why I practically broke my arm
trying to get my credit card out to buy this trick. Right when I watched it the first time ;) I was
a little disappointed when I saw the gimmick and realized that specific detail wasn't possible
without an accomplice. Even so, I give this effect 5 stars.
I'm very excited to use this
principle to create my own effects. I plan to work this into a torn and restored bill effect I've
been performing since 1991 that was taught to me by Baffalo Bill at the Cucoo's Nest in Pittsburgh
PA. It's extremely visual and I think Deposit can be added to the end as a "wait, one more mend..."
moment.
Thank you again Penguin and Marcus (and crew), for a beautiful effect that I'll
use for the rest of my life. Money well spent!

Just picked this up. As someone who does more money magic than most people, I was really excited
about this. The method is really clever! The gimmick doesn't take long to make, and due to how to
make it, you're able to redeem your money. There also some really nice subtleties in the method to
make the bill look perfect
What's nice is they include a PDF so if you live in a country
that doesn't have paper money, you can still perform the effect with an organic object.
Highly recommended!

I dont believe I have ever been disappointed with marcus eddie's projects.
I sometimes do a torn
and restored from noblezadas money dvd. Rarely.
With this effect handing the bill out for
examination intruiged me. So I bit.
Gimmick is easy to make and the handling tips from marcus
are well thought out with several different handlings well explained.i just found the reset not as
accomadating as I would have hoped. But pleased with the purchase overall

I have never seen Marcus perform before. He is an excellent teacher and I can see where audiences
would love him.
This is a very well structured effect and he gives you many variations.
it's definitely something to keep on hand.
It is up there with one of the better torn &
restored bills.

First, let me say this is well worth the price and Marcus has created a great illusion and a top
notch instructional DVD. There are some things to be aware of however if you do this trick. You have
to make a gimmick, of course, and it will destroy one piece of paper currency. (Remember, if you
remove or cut off any part of a bill's serial number the entire bill becomes worthless and will NOT
be replaced by a bank). So, you sacrifice a one dollar bill. Second, it is best if you use newer
bills and ideally two bills whose serial numbers are in sequential order. This should make it a lot
easier to make the gimmick. Marcus does tell you how to work with "mis-matched bills however which
is a great thing to know: making gimmicks with real currency is not as easy as people imply. You do
have to watch your angles performing this and there is a relatively simple move that has to be
performed if you intend to pass the restored bill out to a spectator. It only takes a couple of
seconds to reset. Other than the aforementioned issues this is an excellent illusion and one that
really does fool folks!!

Marcus Eddie is a genius! I was simply blown away by his thinking and invention. However, I thought
the effect with a bill was repeatable for strolling situations. However, Marcus makes up for that by
including an alternative routine which is just as impactful as using the dollar bill. In fact, once
you learn the principle, you can do it with just about anything with paper. If you want that effect
that will knock them off their feet, this is the one. Well worth the money.

Possibly the best download I've purchased from Penguin, and I've purchased a lot. Great gimmick that
makes for a beautiful torn and restored. Several different presentations are shown and they are all
top-notch. Thanks Marcus. This is truly a gift at this price.

Everyone seems to love money tricks and for me this is about the best bill note trick going.
What a great video. Marcus has a lovely way about him and highlights all the challenges to
learning this trick in a way that they quickly become a breeze.
In summary the whole
tutorial is a clean breathe of fresh air and I'm already having fun with this. But do do the
practice before showing it off!
Thanks Marcus - great trick!

I don't write reviews ever. I love this effect! Everything down to the part when you ditch the
gimmick is brilliant! I love Marcus Eddie in general and his positive vibe but this just kills on
top of that. Get it!
