White Board Monte' is similar to Leo Smetsers' 3-shell game, but with a much more commercial angle. A game of luck where the spectator is being challenged to follow a specific disk. That disk can have the spectator's name, a company logo, or anything engaging which can be written or drawn on white board. What the spectator doesn't know is that the success of his choice is controlled by the performer!

The three disks are shown and then mixed up. Despite the spectator being 100% certain of his choice, 'his' disk will magically be in a different place than expected.

Ease of handling is made possible by the rubber ring around the disks which guarantees an optimal grip and makes sure that even 'difficult moves' are a piece of cake.

Despite the disks having writing on them, they can be shown either all white or - when necessary - shown with an image or word on them.

White Board Monte is extremely versatile and gives you the opportunity to use the name of the spectator, a company logo, playing cards, city names, sports teams, special dates like birthdays or anniversaries, and on and on. You can now change the act to match any situation of your own desire.

The possibilities and ideas are unlimited.

Of course the perfectly crafted marker and disks have the exceptional quality you are used to from Leo Smetsers' products.

This humorous gambling game provides for great interaction with the public and is a guaranteed entertainment success every time.

Last but not least, Leo Smetsers 'White Board Monte', packs small and plays BIG!

Maybe others got a good product but sent mine back twice and on the 2nd time just got store credit for the purchase. Scratched up disks both times, weird printing on one disk in the first set and the 2nd time the marker, or the surface, was just not cutting it in the whiteborad feature. Couldn't get the writing off. Maybe others had a better experience but the the quality of this product is majorly lacking. Had high hopes for this...too bad.

Love the trick. Does everything 3 card monte does but w/out cards. Can work outdoors and not worry about wind. Spectators can't prematurely turn over disc.
Besides the trick, I can not thank Penguin enough for their professionalism and willingness to always do the right thing. Items come quickly and I love the packing video. Also, I love that the Penguin staff responds quickly to emails and problem resolution. AAA+++ all the way!

Whiteboard Monte - Good Props, Eh Routine Report this review

I am a fan of 3 disk monte. I love being able to do disk monte at outdoor venues because you do not have to worry about the wind blowing the disks around like it would standard playing cards, and the disks make a definite "thunk" sound as they hit the mat which is great for drawing attention to your act. When I saw whiteboard monte, I pulled the trigger and purchased the set. The quality of the disks are great. You receive 3 disks that are 3" across the standard size of most disk monte sets. They are made of whiteboard material on both sides. They are encircled by a rubber o-ring. This rubber ring really helps in gripping the disks. My only concern with this is a spectator seeing the black rubber moving across the surface of the botoom disk during the hype, thus tipping the method as a white bordered card would during the hype using regular cards. You also receive a whiteboard marker to use with the disks. This marker is a European brand, and I could not find a source for it here in the US. On the instructional download Smetsers says this marker was chosen because it does not lave much ink residue behind after wiping it off the whiteboard. I found that the marker only left a faint, thin impression on the disk. The routine shown on the instructional download is, to me, merely a demonstration of what the product can do. My routine is based on Jon Armstrong's monte routine using 3 blank cards, which is why I purchased the set.
