While the switch is flawless, I wonder whether the need to carry a specially prepared item that is
good for only one performance and then requires reset is ultimately practical.
As well,
somehow I wonder if the change of the folded card to a bill - which is quickly taken from the
participant's hand to display (a process that implies defensive guilt) is worth all the effort.
Indeed, the necessity to set up the wallet to receive the card is not at all convenient or clean
and, once again, must be carefully reset for the next performance. Not practical for a table-hoppng
environment.
In short, this item comes across as something designed as nifty to demo and to
sell but impractical for a working performer. Bad angles, troublesome setup, and awkward pen
'moves' do not impress me much.

Contra is a wonderful utility idea from the Other Brothers. Bottom line, if you like what you see in
the video, you'll love this idea.
What You Get: Design and explanation for building two
utility items that can be used together to achieve the effect seen in the demonstration video.
Excellent explanation on construction. Gimmicks (there are two) are both relatively easy to
make, but you will want to take your time on the first item (they stress this). Expect to mess up a
few times before getting the first item to an acceptable level for performance. The second one is
very easy and, in my opinion, is the more useful of the two.
No real negatives here (except
for a few very minor angle issues during performance and some requirements for directing the
spectator).
As a bonus, they show you an idea that removes the dollar from the equation. In
honesty, while I am very impressed with the trick as performed... I think I'll get more use out of
just using the utility item without the dollar.
Money well spent to learn this.

Pros: A fairly clean effect, not too much dirty work. A great way to switch a bill to a signed card
to basically anywhere you want. It's a utility device so the effect is only limited by your own
creativity.
Cons: Lots of arts and crafts involved. Does not take into account plastic
money. Items do get destroyed.
Overall, I really love this effect. This might be one of my
favorites by the Other Brothers. They really knocked this one out of the park.

These dudes every time, they're so fun, get them on TV! I hope they do a penguin lecture soon!
This illusion fun and crafty. Spectators will be scratching their heads. Great for walkaround,
quick reset! More Other Bros.

The trailer shows that the participant opens the banknote. That's not the case.
Other than
that, this is a wonderful utility/effect.
You can use your normal wallet, no cards are
forced, everything looks VERY FAIR(get it? Lol) and you don't need to be a sleight of hand master to
pull it off. Anyone with normal dexterity can & will enjoy this.
You can use this
information to create your own original routines as well. This utility will be talked about for a
long time.

Contra is an effect you will do with only a minimum of practice. The toughest part is audience
management but even that's not hard if you keep a brisk, no hesitations, pace. The DIY nature of
this effect reminds me of some of the Steve Duschek stuff I learned in the 70's and 80's -- simple
but deceptive. I gave it less than five stars because I'm not crazy about the way they teach you to
load the wallet, but there are other options so if you like what you see in the demo don't let that
stop you. I should also say that one of the two gimmicks you make (both fairly easy to construct,
by the way) can be used for other effects with just a bit of imagination. Overall good value for
the money.

I've not been impressed with the some of the other downloads from these guys... until now. This is a
very good trick, especially since it looks so fair and it happens in the spectator's hand.
It's
pretty much as they show it: The spectator can really pick any card, and write all over the face.
You then fairly and openly initial the back and put the card in their hand. You then take out your
wallet while they are still holding the card, and put the wallet on the table, or even in the
spectator's other hand. (And this can be any wallet. You don't have to use a gimmicked "card to
wallet" wallet.)
When the spectator opens their hand, they are now holding a dollar bill. And
here's the best part: The spectator now opens your wallet and the spectator removes the signed card.
I took away one star because the advertising video makes it look like the spectator unfolds the
dollar which is not the way the trick works. This is not a weakness in the trick, but we all know
how important it is to show honest ads.
The trick is not hard to do. The gimmicks do all the
work, and the gimmicks are not hard to make. You will not have to buy anything you don't already
have.
They also show how you can use the same gimmicks to switch one folded card for another,
without having to do a Mercury Card fold.
But really, this is the easiest card to wallet using a
regular wallet I've ever seen, and it's enhanced by the fact that the card transforms into a dollar
right in the spectator's hand. Any beginner should be able to easily do it, and it should be strong
enough for any walk-around or close-up routine.

This is a great trick. It's strong and direct. Magic happens in the spectator’s hand, and there's an
impossible location. It's suitable for walk-around, and has a quick reset. As advertised, you learn
a clever switch of a folded card, for which you can find your own applications. However, its use
here, is very good. The routine that comes with the download is very well thought-out, and taught
clearly. This is a worker; if you're looking for a bill to wallet routine, it's as good a place as
any to start, in my opinion. The included routine has been worked out for use with US currency. You
may have to make some small adjustments-in terms of how you fold the money
-with currencies of
other sizes

Wow, this effect is one of the best the Other Brothers. This will leave my students (college) and
friends speechless. Imagine transposing a signed playing card into a dollar bill in plain sight.
Oh yea, it's a signed and if you choose decorated playing card.
This inventive method is an
example of creativity out of the minds of the Other Brothers meeting the practical reality of pure
magic. The video is very detailed and shows how to make the gimmick. The best part is once the
gimmick is made you are set for a long time.
This one is a real keeper. Awesome.

My eyes bugged when I saw the dollar in the spectator's hand. I was like, what the heck? Sure, I was
able to identify everything else before even watching the explanation... but that dollar. Mind.
Blown.
Then I watched the explanation and I gave myself a concussion smacking myself in the
forehead for being such an idiot and not figuring it out.
They did a great job, as usual,
in walking through all the steps.
Guys, get this one! Great job, Darryl and Daryl!
