I have several sets of shells; School for Scoundrels, Vernet, Blackfoxx, and off all these easily
the slickest when doing pickups are these shells. The great thing though when using them is that
they are silent even on the hardest of surfices. I'll probably hit them with some ultra-fine
sandpaper to enhance the grip.
This was the first set of Shells that I purchased and I used them until I realized an investment in
better ones was a good idea. I have used these still on occasion when I forgot my other ones also
available from Penguin. If you are starting out or are not sure if this is a trick you will like
this is a good set that will introduce you to the game. I am a big fan of the shell game and have
gotten good mileage from it particularly as a trade show effect. This is a draw them in effect. Add
to cart and decide for your self if this is for you.
These are good quality shells. Don't let the price fool you. They are excellent and get the job
done. If you haven't tried the shell game before then this is definitely the best set to get, but
even if you are an experienced shell gamer this is a good quality set. I still use the same set that
I have had for a couple years and they look as good as new.
This is a classic magic trick...and con game. The shells are well constructed, and the
instructional video is very good, as it teaches you many useful moves. If your looking for a decent
3 shell game, then this one is very affordable.
You've seen this effect in countless movies. The calm, cool operator manipulates the pea under the
shell to his advantage. I love to build the spectators confidence by letting them win on occasion.
For $10 you actually get some fairly decent shells; they are plastic and a bit cheap but the
most important thing about this trick is the performance and with the excellent tutorial you get
everything you need to start performing this classic.
If you're serious about adding the 3
shell game to your act though I would splash out and buy some slightly more classy looking shells.
This trick is a classic. Everyone has heard about it, but few have actually seen it done. For only
$10, here is your chance to make that happen. The handling is so smooth and natural that it cuts
the practice time to a minimum. It is very easily done and packs a big punch. The only downside is
that if you go too long, people can begin to predict where the pea is rather than where it should
be.
people will love this fascination never ceases with cons....mix it in with your magic and you're
good
I can see how most would like this trick! But I think I got a defective set. Mine had a green stain
on the side of one of the shells. You might think it's no big deal but I like to make the effect
look more like it's just a "finding the pea" game and not so much a magic trick. Let me explain...
when the shells all look identical, no one knows really thinks it's a magic trick with a secret.
They think it's just a hard game. (which is want I want... that way there is little suspicion.) But
when some of the shells look different (the green stain), they know that the pea moved. They would
be able to tell that it's just magic trick.... magic trick that they they now know that they can't
win. Other than that the set was pretty good. Although after a while the peas lose there tackyness.
They still work but it's not as easy.
These Shells Really Are Perfect,I Love Them,
The Peas However Are Good And Bad,The Good Thing Is
They Are Tacky And Don't Move When You Drop Them,The Bad Thing Is
You Cant Move The Shell
Sideways Unless You Have A Closeup Pad "The Penguin Ones Are Great" Because Of The Tacky Pea.
So I Give The Shells 5 Stars,And The Peas 4.
