I have purchased and enjoyed using several other popular center tears such as "TRex" and "The Dr's
Billet Tear," but this one I really like! It's quick, simple, justified,(not that the others are
not) and I thought the "rollback move" was a very clever way to obtain the information. Although I
was very happy to learn a new center tear that I will use, I thought the additional tips he provided
on how to handle the information and how to reveal it in an interesting and meaningful way was worth
more than the center tear itself! Lots of clever ideas here! Overall, I am very satisfied with this
purchase and highly recommend it to others who are considering buying it also.

This is a really good center tear to learn. If you don't currently have a CT you use regularly, of
the one you are using isn't satisfying, give the Revolving Center Tear a try.
It's super
easy to do, with no special paper or set up required.
And no tearing up your business
cards! Save them to hand out.
You gotta love Scott Alexander. He makes learning fun and
is just a really likable guy.
Well done.

Scott is a consummate Artist in every aspect his explanation & teaching is great ! I really like the
concept buttttttttttttt !!!! The problem is with this presentation is the camera shots & lighting
make it extremely difficult to decipher the moves !The whole experience was do exasperating that it
made me go on a 3 day drinking spree !!!! I have an ample
Collection of C.T. instructional
material on video & it's not an easy technique to properly capture on film ! In my opinion the best
presented on film for myself has been Rick Lax on Secrets of Magic because of Rick's explanation
it's one of the clearest !
Scott please remake !!!!

I tried many center tears. Pink‘s, osterlinds, dr. bill‘s, cassidys, but this one is sure not the
best from all of them. Everyone has it‘s pro‘s and contra‘s but the revolving ct is very easy and if
you are experienced with billet work this one is perfekt for the day if you dont want to carry extra
stuff. I buyed it, learned it in just 2 hours and saw in 2 performances, that this one is very
deceptive! Sure, the quality and the missing feats in the download is poor. I miss the quality from
the dvd‘s from penguin, where you learn many sublties and additional stuf bur if you are not a
„beginner“ this download is worth the price... my best tip?
Purchase it, learn it, try it
and habe fun with it:-D

I have done center tears in hundreds of stage shows and close up situations. I could start a
religion. Different techniques of course have different advantages and disadvantages. This ct here
has one big disadvantage that is a little typical of Alexander's work: superficiality.
The
billet can only be folded once to the center. From this position one must now work. First of all
this is a rather miserable approach, because every amateur gets a satisfying DIYl solution.
Second, the shape of the note makes the tear totally incompatible with any alternative peek and
even a switch is impossible, because the note is just folded once and looks different. Poor Release.
I would really like my money back.
All center tears are good. I hate reading magician's comments about which is the best or how this
one is so much stronger than the other one. What makes a center tear great is that once you tear the
paper even once the audience is thrown off - how can you read something that is torn? That's the
psychology behind a center tear.
There are some benefits to using the instant access style
center tears (which this is) over the old steal center tear but otherwise, you can practice any of
them and they're all great.
The big thing to learn is when and how to peek. This is what
this video teaches well! Routines with built in motivations to peek. You should develop your own in
time but you need to get a feel and rhythm for it first and having tried and tested routining really
helps you get a feel for how the timing works.
I would recommend getting this just for the
routining, but the center tear itself is also great.
I have been looking for a simple center tear since I watched Brian Gillis'(RIP) Penguin Live Lecture
to perform the First Kiss/Star Sign Prediction. Aside from this review, if you are looking for a
solid lecture with a ton of usable material, then check out Brian Gillis' Live Lecture here on
Penguin.
Regarding Scott Alexander's Revolving Center Tear:
This is a great, simple
center tear. It is less complicated than a center tear like Pink which I also learned, but I was not
a fan of the mechanics for Pink.
My opinion:
Pros
- Super easy to perform.
Practicing the presentation and timing are the key here. The tear itself does not get much easier.
- It can be done with any small scratchpad.
- There is only one fold.
- Price - Is fair
for an impromptu miracle/a forever tool for your toolbox.
Cons
- There is only one
fold. Which feels a little suspicious to me.
There are ways to mitigate the suspiciousness
of a single fold. Scott gives you presentation ideas that help mitigate it, and it really comes down
to your performance style but the limitation does not outweigh the benefit of this utility.
If you want a simple center tear to use as a go-to tool, then this is definitely a solid option.
Kudos to Scott Alexander. I recommend this purchase if you want to add a center tear
prediction to your act.
Thank you,
Chris F.
...just you exit of the context of "instant picking" and the video becomes very interesting. A small
compendium for the center tear teory.
The price is acceptable.
I like it!
Very good CT. Simple, Direct, Invisible, easy, practical, so many good things . I use T-rex as my go
to CT but at least for me it wont work well with all kinds of paper(I still love it). Revolving
Center Tear giver you the ability to do with any paper. You can`t go wrong with it. Buy it!
I have spent the last two years trying to work out the perfect handling for my center tear work.
All my efforts can now end, as Scott has created a near perfect technique. He also spends extensive
time giving great tips for using the technique. Well worth it. I am glad Scott has been releasing
the good stuff!
