I don't like carrying a lot of things for mentalism, but some things are essential to me for anytime mentalism, like Neil Tobin's Xpert, a DMC Elites marked deck, PowerBall 60, Organic Choice, Mental Yarn, and Larry White/Banachek's PK Tip Pen. I watched the trailer for CIA and was pretty sure how the gimmick worked, and I was right. Yep, you get a bunch of *******. It's one of the oldest ideas in the history of mentalism (probably first used by a smart caveman mentalist), but it works, and I like the nouveau-modern flair to its construction. You will be able to find uses for it beyond the routines demonstrated on the DVD. I think that this is going in my always-carry kit. It will take up next to no space and bewilder folks. And that, my friends, is what it is all about. Sometimes the old ways are still the best ways.

Picked this up the other day. This is genius! So many doors opened for you after you discover the secret. Well worth your time. Well done Magick! This is a winner!

This is not a bad idea. Larry Becker uses this method in one of his books and I have used that version. Without giving anything away, the material that is provided with this effect is awful. You can find much better quality material that does the same thing perfectly on Amazon or most hardware stores.

I got this as a discount via Penguin auction (open package). I don’t understand why anyone would return this though. There are many basic uses that a novice can effectuate in their magic and there are bonus tricks for the more seasoned magician looking for a little extra wow. The quality of the gimmick is as good as it gets (for what the gimmick actually is). Add a little double sided tape to your finger and you have another innovative way to work a book test. I give this four out of five stars for one reason…..the DVD. I have to use my son’s Xbox when I buy a trick taught via DVD. And boy is that annoying. Either the good folk at Penguin need to upload all of these tricks to online video, or the owner of the trick needs to partner with Penguin to join the rest of us on the internet. Other than that, a solid trick with a lot of applications.

I've never been so disappointed in a Penguin trick. I can't explain without giving away the secret. I can just say don't waste your money!
