Although the name of this item is listed as "Color Changing SILK Scarf" it isn't made from silk as
far as I can tell. Seems to be some sort of cheap rayon (?) fabric. Out of the box the fabric is
bulky and tends to seize up slightly when doing the move to change the color, it doesn't transition
smoothly from one color to the next.
I suppose for the price this is 'not bad'. Just
don't expect real silk. Penguin should change the name to "Color Changing Scarf" , dropping the word
Silk. If it wasn't being sold as a "Color Changing SILK Scarf" I'd probably give this 3 stars, but
it gets 2 stars because it is not silk and doesn't operate smoothly out of the box. I'm hoping that
soaking it with some Woolite fabric softener will help make it softer and smoother ...
(*to
be fair, the actual packaging from Mr. Magic says "Color Changing Scarf" , no claims are made that
it is silk. It is Penguin's listing which calls it "Color Changing Silk Scarf".)
