Lee Asher is a talented card magician. This is a great video and is set up as a spy movie as Lee
Asher secret agent hunts down The Crimp. This is very entertaining in its own right. The magic on
this video is fantastic, but it is really challenging. Ambitious explosion and Silver Surfer are
both great utility moves for an ambitious card routine. Silver Surfer is really knacky and takes
awhile to get down. Thunderbird is a really cool production. The item i use the most is Sibling.
This a great sybil cut that is a quick and usable flourish.

I have the VHS version on 5 Card Stud. I must admit for the price you don't get enough. The only
trick I use is the Ambitious Explosion, plus the contents show it like they are all tricks, slap
happy for example is just a move in the ambitious explosion, so's the silver surfer. Most of it
isn't explained well, like the silver surfer or the DL he uses. I agree this is a funny DVD to
watch but there are not enough quality effects and the teaching is very basic.

This is a cool DVD. Very entertaining, which is odd to say when speaking about a magic DVD. It's a
film, a real film(with a good plot too). Within the film, Lee has flashbacks and visions in which he
teaches the magic.
Some of the teaching is a little quick, but it's video- watch it a
hundred times if you need to. Anyone should not be watching the instructions just once anyway! Lee
is detailed in the descriptions of each trick, so that makes it great.
I would recommend
it, I really enjoyed this as my first Lee Asher Product, and I have purchased more since. I do not
think you will be disappointed in this. You learn some great material that is sold separately for
almost half the price of the DVD alone, so it's well worth it...and you get to see a nice film along
the way!
James Bond Meets Magic Meets B rated movies... In this cleverly produced, albeit low budget, DVD you
will meet Asher, Lee Asher The Five Card Stud, and you will experience a day in the life of this
card slinging secret agent.
Filmed in the style of a spy movie, Agent 005 fights of
ne'er-do-wells with card tricks. You'll pick up some extremely visual and quite startling card magic
on this production. By virtue of flash-backs to Agent 005's early childhood we are taught the
secrets to the effects by a toga-donning Lee Asher playing the role of the young agent's mentor.
I found the film itself very funny and clever... a bit cheesy, but that's part of the
charm. The magic is incredible... some of the best stuff I've seen in a long time. How 'bout a four
ace production that you can do naked (and he does) with no deck in site, just a bare-handed
production of four aces.
The only negative feedback I have is regarding the production
quality and part of the explanations. The production, as I mentioned, is pretty low budget. A lot of
stuff filmed outside, and so the lighting was pretty bad which, unfortunately made some of the
explanations hard to see.
Also, on the "Silver Surfer" move, no explanation was given other
than, "...just do the Silver Surfer move." The move itself is a very disarming handling of a double
or triple card. I just couldn't quite figure out the specific handling, yet the video jacket claims
that this move will be explained.
Don't let that last paragraph scare you off. It's an
incredible DVD. We need more like this out there in the market, so thank you Lee.
I would just like to start of my review by saying lee asher is one of the greatest magicians in the
world. This DVD is hilarious, very entertaining and the tricks are great. sure theres only 5 effects
but there really good. heres a review of the tricks.
ambitious explosion: I do this all the
time it is a killer ending to an ambitious card routine.
Thunderbird: This is the best
barehanded 4 ace production there is. This is the effect oz pearlman based starry eyed surprise on
Joking around: It is a very nice way to reveal a card
Sibling: A beautiful card
cut that i do all the time
5 card stud: This is the only effect thats kinda lame but the
rest of the tricks are wicked
This is a great DVD and is worth the money.
Buy it,
you wont be sorry.
Lee is one of the most creative magician in the world.....he's really a very hard working
guy~~~~~he's trick is straight forward, every trick of him uses a different handling and moves. So,
you can learn a lot of useful things from his video to suit your repertoire~~~~Trust me~~~~
There's one bug in this video, and that is, Lee, you should teach us how you do the cool double
lift~~~I'm really interested in that~~~~it's really a cool and deceptive multiple lift~~~~
Good job Lee!!! Waiting for your [5 Card Stud II]!!!!!!
Highly recommended to beginner
as well as pro!!!!
The effects are good but not the absolute best. The entertainment value from this video is far
better than any other magic video I've seen. There is actually a plot with action scenes.
its funny. the tricks r allright...
the only thing i didnt like was lee ashers hair. look
@ the demo when he does the ace production @ the end.
anyhoo.

I have a couple Lee Asher DVDs. So bad I cannot bring myself to watch them again or even tell anyone
I own them!
I would be embarassed for someone to know I have something as bad as this. The
tricks are okay, but an entire DVD for about 5 tricks! C'mon! Then you have to put up with a Plot!
For card tricks?!? It is even worse than high school home movies! If you cut out all the garbage,
you have about 4 minutes of video worth keeping. The rest is pathetic! The worst video that is
supposed to be on magic I have ever seen comes from this guy.

The Five Card Stud DVD is bad. Really bad. The tricks are lame, and I wouldn't recommend it to
anyone.
