I got this because of a thread over on Magic Café called "Inexpensive Tricks You Love" and for under
$2 it's hard to go too wrong. That said I think the instructions for this are DISMAL. I was most
certainly not doing this minutes after opening it. The ring was falling to the floor and not
linking. I started to question if it even worked and what was going wrong and then it worked once...
and eventually after persistence I figured out, no thanks to the poor instructions, what I was
missing and how it all works. It's a neat little starter trick for under $2 and, IMHO, teaches that
practice matters. I honestly don't understand how people are just reading these instructions and
performing it and there's an element where I think that's a good thing. My 6 year old has shown an
interest in magic, but has no patience for practice... this takes a little practice to get it right
and it either works or it doesn't... so to some degree I think this is a 'feature'. I just know that
the instructions could be a lot better. If they had included ONE extra detail I'd have been set, but
I had to figure that out for myself.

This is not bad. Actually it is surprisingly good. I wear this around my neck - ready to perform.

The chain has a decent weight and length. (It fits around my head so I can wear it like an actual
necklace) The trick took all of 10 seconds to learn, and 30 seconds to master. All the pieces are
examinable, and the crowd can watch it from any angle. It actually gets more magical if you show
them from different vantage points. It just seems to get more and more impossible as you show them
how there is no gimmicks. (any very little skill required) I taught a four year old how to do it. I
highly recommend this for it's price, construction, and ease of use. Five Stars!

There is a little experimenting to get the technique correcct, but it is not hard. Great for a
beginner (my nine year old enjoys this). When I first did it I was surprised and it took me a
little while to figure out why it worked. No gaffs, you can let a spectator try it for themselves.
Doesn't take up alot of space, doesn't cost much, a fun addition. Great for young magicians as
well.
