I am just going to review the Bill In Kiwi as this was the highlight of the DVD. This is one of the
most fantastic routines I have come across in a long time. I feel this effect is best performed at a
private party. There are so many elements to the effect making it so much stronger.
Teaching:
The teaching on this is very well, he goes over every little detail and does not leave out anything.
Quality: The quality of the video is good, nothing wrong with it just not perfect.
Set - up:
The set-up to the effect does not take a long time, but you do want to be precise in making the
gimmick.
Practicality: This is effect is very practical.
Practice: This effect does take
sometime to practice as you do some risky moves to get the final revelation, but after some practice
and timing it is well worth it.
All of the other effects on the DVD are very nice as well,
but I just wanted to review the Bill in Kiwi, because it was the highlight.
I am very happy with
my purchase.

i recommend this DVD to any preforming magician.
the tricks on this DVD are amazing and I am
using 3 of them.
you get also carl show wich is a pleasure to watch. you can learn his
misderaction, he is very funny (you might think he is a little bit rude) and very talented.
i
gave it only 3 stars for a few reasons.
first of all, there are some homemade gimmicks involved
and carl doesnt teach how to make them, you will have to find a diffrent source for that.
the
other reason is that all of the tricks requires setup and a lot of practice.
i know there are
disadvantages but if you want to add some very strong effects to your act, and have the time to
practice them buy this DVD and you wont regret it.

First off, this isn't a walk around kind of trick. If you do a show where you have a table and your
audience is sitting, then it's absolutely phenomenal. It will take a lot of practice to get it
right, but like any really good effect, it takes time. Once you get it right, the pay off will be
huge. Borrowing a signed bill and making it appear inside of a kiwi that's been sitting on the table
the whole time it pretty amazing. If you are looking for something to really spice up your stage
show, this is it.

Not a beginner DVD but a lot of practical advice from Cloutier on this effect. Demonstrated in front
of a live audience makes these even a more valuable resource. If you want to make a bill appear in
something other than a lemon and want a novel idea for getting it there this is a must have DVD. I
am a big fan of anything by Cloutier and may be biased however this is a very good DVD and will give
you lots to think about.

Bill in kiwi by Carl cloutier is one of my favorite DVDs in my collection. You get the Bill In Kiwi
trick which is awesome, plus a bonus - you get a second dvd with a whole cool show routine you can
do. A must get DVD for close up or even stage.

I first saw Carl on worlds greatest magic, and I loved his style of magic. He not only teaches you
Bill in Kiwi but a whole routine he performs in front of a audience. I'm always skeptical of magic
performed in front of a camera instead of a audience, with an audience I know the magic works and
Carl's magic works! There is a trick he shows of signed selected cards being produced in a sealed
can, and that alone I believe was worth the money. Buy this!

Carl's teaching is great, and the bonus show (without explainations) was worth the price of the DVD
(I got it on the cool box) These tricks are slightly more advanced and will take A LOT of practice
but the effects will be well worth it.
My rating will be based on entertainment value,
impossibility of effect and difficulty.
Bill in kiwi- Carl teaches several methods and
this is one of the few tricks taught that could be modified to perform in a t shirt or without a
suit jacket (ideally for most of these tricks you want to wear a Jacket with a slight secret
modification**). Great teaching and handling, to make a signed bill appear in a kiwi the spectator
has had in his pocket the whole time is amazing. Will take practice but sooo worth it. 9/10
Sports ball routine/bounce no bounce- very funny, great opener, must wear jacket. Colour
changing balls with a great finale. This one is going to take practice. 7/10 - I only rate it seven
because of the difficulty; plus you will need to buy your own props.
Traveler- (4 signed
cards to pockets) Carl uses a few gimmicks in the effect that he does not explain in any detail,
which really is essential to having them appear in 4 separate pockets. however he does cover a move
to show your hands clean at any point; where you produce the cards from is up to you. I was very
excited about this when I purchased it but don't think I'll be performing it. He really only teaches
2 signed cards to pockets. nice though because at any point you can show your hands empty. If you
own a different "card to impossible location" (wallet, shoe, etc.) and would like to produce
multiple cards, you might like to use this. 5/10
Slim fast routine- easily my
favourite aside from bill in kiwi. The sheer surprise of signed cards appearing inside a factory
sealed slim fast container is amazing. The psychology he teaches behind it is just as good as the
trick. 10/10
Pepper routine- fantastic again. A handkerchief is signed and picture is
drawn, it vanishes and appears in a pepper. Carl really runs with the idea of vanishing something
and appearing it in an impossible location; the fact someone else has been holding the pepper and
they see a hankerchief inside before you even touch it, that's a capper. (This was the girlfriends
fav because the hanky was inside before the magician touches it.) 9/10
Magazine Routine- a
magazine is signed and dated by the magician, torn and restored, only to have a corner missing. No
problem, a spectator has been holding an examined empty envelope since the beginning, containing the
missing, matching piece.
The envelope is not explained at all, however He does teach the
restoration and the trick can easily be done without the extra piece at the end, however it still
requires 2 gimmicks you will need to make yourself and could be difficult for someone unfamiliar
with making props.
5/10 there are better tnr without the use of the gimmicks like Carls.
Cards across: this is the only trick I didn't care for much on the DVD, a classic in magic but
there are cleaner ways to pull it off. 3/10
Liquid Assest: Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.
A spectator signs a small glass, fills it with water, vanishes right under the spectators nose and
re appears in Carls pocket. I came up with a slight variation using another technique Carl teaches
in the video that doesn't require any alterations to your person, and I'm sure you'll find one too
if you don't have the necessary item Carl has.
10/10
Coin routine: one coin becomes
large, duplicates itself, the coin is "unrolled" into a string of foil and two giant jumbo coins
return in its place. It's hard to do it justice describing it, it really is a great routine.
I
don't see myself performing the entire routine, however there is a sleight taught with a coin that
will be my new standard for vanishes and is worth the whole routine. Obviously you will need some
jumbo coins to do the trick, and I won't say much else about it because I am not a coin worker. This
will take practice.
9/10 for the coin sleights and ideas.
Overall-
9.5/10- Carl is a great teacher and innovator and though only a few sleights are used through his
routine, the avenues he takes with them are brilliant. I was fooled. His show is consistent,
organized and all together entirely impossible. It's how a professional show should look. The tricks
are amazing and well taught. I really wish he taught all four pockets on his traveler routine but
other than that, awesome work Carl!
And thanks penguin for the great deal! If you can get this
on the cool box don't think twice!!!
I would definitely recommend this DVD.

is awesome but you need a lot of pocket in your jacket to fool the spectator. but is still fun to do

I loved the dvd, I got way more than expected. I loved learning the routine for the bill in the
kiwi, but the additional show with explanations was more than I bargained for. I wish I had more dvd
that had the magician perform a show with explanations after. I like to watch others perform so I
can pick up ideas for my own magic. Buy it, get it, luv it

As far as the bill in kiwi routine, it is very visual and easy to learn even for the beginning
magician. However, the other routines do require a gimick that most beginning magicians or street
magicians do not own. But if you have this gimmick (built into the jacket) then you can perform some
AMAZING routines
