Let me say right up front that I've read many reviews of Dominique's products over the years. The reviewers almost always says a very similar statement in one form or another: "Dominique Duvivier's magic is not for everyone." I happen to be one of the ones that loves his magic, his creativity and his personality.

That said, I have to admit right up front that this isn't one of my favorite of Dominique's dvd sets; in my opinion, that would be his 4 volume "From Old to New" series. This is, however, another set of strong pieces and ideas from Dominique. My favorites at the moment are "Happy Hands", "The Fingerprint", and 'Fruit d'Or' (aka, ‘Wild Card’).

Now, I do have one criticism. At least one of the effects on here needs specially gimmicked cards, or in one case, and entirely gimmicked deck. In either case, the gimmick is not included in the dvd, nor does it seem to be available from Dominique's shop. It would be nice if that were the case; however, being an American, it's unlikely that I'd spend so much for shipping on one deck of cards.

That aside, I do like this set and will continue purchasing Dominique's materials. Recommended, but "not for everyone."

I ama fan of most of his works BUT to sell more and to gain a card audience I feel the producers should also have a promo video in English. Since the selling point is card magic that plays BID AND LOTS OF LAUGHS no one except French speakers get the jokes. A real shame because there are some GREAT WORKERS HERE. Just aq tip from an international touring full-time magician/illusionist that works many countries where there is no English so I know the value of translators in print and video. Great material.
