The tricks are cool, but they are only good for vidoes- more than half the tricks you can't do in
front of an audience, it's too ‘angle sensitive’, like shin says.
But the main reason i give
only one star is because he is absoltuely the WORST TEACHER EVER. His video for each trick is ten
minutes long and the camera is pointed in front of him, nut at the magician's perspective. it is
very hard to figure out what he is doing looking at that angle. shin goes through stuff so freaking
fast! I was just ready to start when he moves on to the next step. he never, EVER elaborates on ANY
move, especially the good ones. He never thinks about his learner's perspective and every video is
literally useless. For example, during the teachings of Lumix, Shin obviously forgot that where the
camera was because he did the card flick thing with his hands blocking the camera, with the cards
behind his hand. I had absolutely no idea how he did it, and he never elaborated. Immeidately, he
moved on to the next step, so i was stuck there. I want a refund NOW. I've spent this much money on
two stupid DVD's, and I literally did not learn ANYTHING from this guy.

I bought this because i like Shin Lim and because he's a great card handler, having said that, there
are two things (three really but ones personal) that i didn't like about this dvd.
1. a lot
of the times, he would tell you "oh, i learned this in dan and daves dvd. so you can learn it there"
or "i learned this from card college, so if you wanna learn how to do that go there" or whatnot. im
only an intermediate card handler so maybe thats what was wrong there, is that this dvd is meant for
expert card handlers.
2. But, i felt that most of the tricks he showed i wouldn't perform
ever. they felt angle scary and meant for one or two people. not a crowd like i like to do. A lot
of the dvd felt kinda rushed and kinda like "hey, i wanna make some money lets put this out there."
not to bash on shin cuz i think his card handling is down right awesome, i just feel the dvd shoulda
been put better together maybe.
3. my personal issue is that he bashes on daniel garcia at
one point ;) and since daniel garcia is like my favorite it was just like "oh now im annoyed" but
thats just me ;)

Okay so I just finished watching the whole DVd, and boy is it tough! It's similar to the trilogy, in
that only a few people will be able to master these moves; similar to how only a few can master the
moves by D&D. Anyways, the production value is awesome, and so are the tricks! the gimmick is
devious, and will last you a lifetime. All in all 5/5 shin lim. You are great!

I was debating on whether or not to get this or 52 shades of red. In the end I chose Shinanigans
because it was based on much more on sleights. This is not a trick you would want to buy if you're a
beginner. Many of the tricks include things like the snap change, card fan, card spring, and palming
so if you have those down, this dvd is great to learn some tricks that will blow people away. Keep
in mind that Shin is not the best teacher and these tricks are not something you can just watch and
go perform right away. This dvd requires you to invest a lot of time. There are over 27 effects that
he teaches including the last trick anarchy, which is an insanely clean deck production however, it
does (like most if not all of Shin Lim's tricks) require you to build the gimmick. which I don't
mind because the building process helps understand it's limits but if you find it troublesome, it is
not for you but don't let that stop you from getting the dvd. This doesn't teach his magic routines
because that was not the intent of Shinanigans. His goal was to get these out there so that you can
incorporate into your routine. The tricks mainly revolves around card productions, and color changes
so if that's your thing, buy this now!
All in all it was a great buy and hope to use these in
my magic routines after mastering (hopefully at least one) them.

Great DVDs by Shin Lim. Not for beginners but totally worth it for any intermediate/expert card
junkie. If you have seen Trilogy by Dan and Dave Buck that would be a good starting block to help
you in tackling Shin's newest DVDs. I could honestly seeing people spending the price of these DVDs
just for "Anarchy" alone.

This is a DVD for effects and changes used for YouTube videos and TV. The part I was most excited
about was Anarchy - the instant deck appearance. The effect looks brilliant when performed but at
the same time there is a lot of arts and crafts and the effect has to be performed a metre or so
away from the spectators. Also, the deck cannot be examined without a GC of a whole deck which I
think not many can do.
All in all, fun viewing, fun trailer, bad teaching and bad
practicality.

Shin Lim is such a terrific thinker! The effects and ideas you'll find on this 2-disc DVD are unlike
anything else. This is a must buy for card magicians!!!

most tricks can not be performed for more than one people. throughtout the years, i have learned
that magic is supposed to be performed for people, not camera, not mirror, your trailer is very good
for deceiving people, next time, when you publish a trick, go perform it on a street, at least 5
people, then i will believe it is a practical magic.
