I waited almost a year to write my review why? I wanted to break them in a bit before I knew for
sure they were a good product
These fans have everything I want in a performance piece
fan-wise:
Beautiful color (bright colors make for great visibility!)
Sturdy spines (not much
to really say here)
You can blow a snowstorm across a small theatre (I've tested this myself)
Large size (can be seen from afar)
Durability (I use my fans all the time and was very
surprised they lasted as long as they did!)
And appearance.
Oh and they are LOUD! With a
flick of the wrist you have a nice loud BRAAAAAP! Sure to get everyone's attention!
The colors
are as bright as they look in the demonstration photo.
Everyone I've shown the fans too have
complemented on how beautiful they are.
The only problem I had was the fabric frays at the
edges with use. To fix that use modelling glue (clear drying superglue) to seal your fan edges
before using them for performance. Other then that I'm very pleased with the product and will be
buying more sets eventually! :)
The magic in it is not the cards there as the scene, the art, if you like the general magic, working
Cheng Lai, I recommend
Very nice wood rib oriental hand fans. The ribs are painted black, but not on the side the material
is glued on. That is why only gave 4 stars. The wood shows through and some of the black shows as
well with the over-sprayed paint. Material is like a rayon material. The measure approximately 13
inches long closed and 24 inches wide when open fully. Being these are made of wood they are light
and easily open. They make a great sound when snapped open. Burrrup! I will buy another set to work
the many routines demonstrated on the "FANtasy" DVD, that these hand fans are provide for
productions. These hand fans are not gimmicked in any way, they are provided as the perfect solution
for use in Hand Fan Productions.
