I was looking for something to perform around Halloween time, and picked this up. This definitely
fit the bill. If you’ve seen the video, then you know what to expect out of the performance. I gave
it Five Stars because it’s quick and effective, and very easy to perform. If you have experience
with cards already, you can perform this in five minutes. If not then 15 minutes of practice is all
a beginner would need. I made up my own story to fit my location.

Great modern twist on an old magic shop classic

As said in the other reviews, the trick and the presentation are fine. My only issue is with the
cards, which are uglier than those shown in the video, and look like they were drawn on a computer.
So 1) they don't look old from up close, 2) it might suggest to the audience that they were made for
this trick and might be special.
They will look fine from across a table, but if you want
the spectators to check them, I would suggest using real, old tarot cards.

This product fits perfectly in my program of early American magic. The technique is easy to learn,
but the real key is in the presentation. If you are a good storyteller and can create the right
atmosphere, this is a winner.
Would have been a 5-Star rating if the set-up and the handling
directions were in the same place, and the cards could have been larger.
Good quality.
Worthwhile investment. Leaves them wondering.

Brilliant trick which is easy to do for all levels of magician.
Very well written booklet with
great storytelling, but watch the demo so you’ll easily picture what is going on.
This is a
beautiful trick that ends clean and inspectable.
It’s a great monte routine with a spooky tale.
Without giving away the trick, the card art is unique and very cleverly designed. Ingenious
method.
Great trick to have in any magic show, stage or walk around routine.

The effect is excellent . The props, cards & envelope, are nicely antique looking. Handling is
easy. No difficult sleights. You do need a story telling ability. The accompanying booklet is a
great help. Provides routines & presentations by Paul Prater & other magicians. A perfect card
effect for someone looking for something a little different. Plays well in conjunction with similar
themed effects. I enjoy performing this as the handling is so simple that I can focus on the telling
of the tale.

This is really a great little trick! Bizaaaaaaarrrre.....
You get 3 "old looking" arcades, a
parchment envelope with a esoteric drawing on it and a nice booklet with 3 stories to tell during
your act.
The routine and gimmick are also explained in the booklet, but by looking at the
video shown here on the Penguin site, it's easy to replicate with the arcanes in your hands. The
props are well made and will last for long if handled correctly.
Price-quality this trick is
TOP.
Buy it!
The illusion is out there......

Can’t say enough good things about this trick. From the story to the props to the method it’s all
brilliant. The only negative thing to say is there were a few errors in the booklet one which made
the method a bit confusing at first. That being said do not hesitate to buy this still a 5/5 for me!

The Witch of Glastonbury Awesome trick, worth every penny! Every Bizarre Magician should have it in
their arsenal.

Paul's "The Witch of Glastonbury" is a clever twist on the CM routine using tarot cards and a
mysterious fortune telling routine. I like the patter by Chris Gould. It adds a different hype and
story well suited for a suberb performance. I highly recommend
