I've NEVER been disappointed by anything the Scott puts out. His ideas are always REAL WORLD,
PRACTICAL, and DECEPTIVE - and this video is no exception.
As others have commented, this
utility can be constructed in a matter of seconds with nothing but a few envelops and a pair of
scissors (so this IMMEDIATELY found a place in my "Lost Luggage" mental file).
It does the
job in a VERY clean and convincing manner and allows for the predictions to be the appropriate size
for the envelop you're using (no more of that folded index card coming from a letter-sized envelope
nonsense!).
The routines that Scott shares (while great in their own right) are just the
tip of the iceberg for a tool like this.
IMHO this is an ESSENTIAL video for a working
mentalist.
Best,
Drew

After watching the video, a five-year-old with round-nosed safety scissors can make this utility
envelope in about a minute. But don't let that fool you. This is the best, slickest gimmicked
envelope around with so many uses that boggle the mind. Scott does an excellent job describing the
creation of the envelope and its handling, but anyone with any performance skills at all will have
no trouble putting this to good use, think Heirloom, Chronologue, and many more classic routines.
He also gives two of his own fine routines--one stage and one close-up. I really like the close-up
routine--think Phil Goldstein's Mental Yarn on steroids. I am definitely going to use it.
If you are a mentalist, this utility gimmick should be in your arsenal.

There is nothing new here that you won't find in over 100 different books covering mentalism. It's
in Tarbell. It's in 13 Steps to Mentalism. For the price, go buy a good book instead. If this were
sold at $3-$5, then yeah, buy it. It's nice to see the actual construction. But at $30, don't waste
your money.

...and also the cheapest.
With this system you can create your own envelopes in minutes
and then tailor them to suit your needs.
I've owned and made every envelope you can
imagine and this is the best. Scott's work isn't clever or state of the art. It is the result of
hard work in the trenches.
You can open the envelope, find the correct prediction and show
the envelope empty without even looking at it. No fumbling, no complex flaps, no fancy indexes.
The method won't blow you away but it will blow your audience's away.

Scott has some brilliant ideas and this one is no exception.
You have 4 outs it takes less than
5 minutes to create the gimmick. This is more of a utility device, however, Scott gives you a very
good effect for strolling mentalists with instant reset as a bonus. He teaches you to how to use it
with 2 different sizes depending whether you want to use it for stage or close up.
Love this
idea.

Yes, it’s a little expensive but it’s a very practical and useful utility device.
This is okay, but waaaay too expensive
This is okay, but waaaay too expensive
It's a great solution for a lot of routines. I'm thinking in use it with Joshua Jay Inferno.
After very little arts/crafts, you have a very deceiving mentalism device made from an ordinary
envelope. With practise, you can pull out the prediction from an envelope without even looking.
The only downside is that the prediction you pull out shouldn’t be too large, it’s possible but
at the risk of possible having a bulky envelope. It shouldn’t be much larger than a regular size
sheet of paper, so some may not like that for stage, but other than that, it’s an ingenious method
and I highly recommend it. This fooled my magician friend!
