This trick is very powerful when done correctly for a very small group. I have found that it is very
common with effects similar to this that you must be able to manage your audience. This trick cannot
be performed surrounded. You must make sure that no one is behind you or standing to the side of
you. In fact this trick really is worthless unless The Spectator is directly in front of you. That
having been said when this trick is done correctly at the correct angles it looks absolutely
perfect. It gets very good reactions and is instantly reset. I love having a trick that resets
immediately but I would not recommend showing this trick to someone more than once because I feel
that there's a very good chance you will get caught.
The reason I give this Effect 3 stars
is because I feel it is overpriced. I would have given this Product 5 star review if they would have
done one of the two options.
Option 1:
If you insist on making this a DVD include one
pre-constructed gimmick with the DVD and sell it for $15.
Option 2:
Make this a digital
download and sell it for $10.
They teach you how to make the gimmick in the DVD which
requires nothing more than a pair of scissors. However, I would suggest that you use a Dremel or
small rotary tool if you have one because the gimmick comes out much cleaner and works much better.

I’ve been wanting this effect for quite sometime. I have it now. After another twenty bucks at the
pawnshop for a DVD player.
I love Alan Rorrison, his smoke device really gave me an effect that
I could stare at people like David Blane afterwards and not feel awkward back in the day.Ive bought
a few of his gimmicks over the years.
This was an opportunity for sansminds to provide their
custom lids with yet another special feature. A lot reviews want a gimmick included and I agree. For
the price something should have been included.
Sansminds produces their own lids and could have
really made them even more awesome with rorrison s method by including it with all sans minds
sharpie effects. This coulda put a bit more cheddar in Alan’s hands and made everything sans minds
does with sharpie effect worth ten to twenty bucks more. Or at least could have sold a lot more
units.
I ruined a lot of sharpie parts trying to make this and it’s still not that great looking
(the gimmick), as an effect I really appreciated it but my roommate who I showed the effect pick it
up off the table one night and reconstructed it on the second attempt. I think this has more to do
with my bad craftsmanship honestly one careful look at my gimmick gives it away. Sans minds I’m
sure could produce these (with a stock they have plenty of I’m sure) seamlessly.
The effect is
good the angles aren’t. SansMinds needs to get it’s download game together, I should have been able
to download this a year ago. If you do sharpie effects and can dig up a DVD player or have a ps4 you
might find this worth the asking price but I feel that this should have been part of a much larger
project. Sansminds talks about Swiss army knifes but remained neutral and did not stick it with
this wonderful effect.
I’d save that twenty bucks up to purchase smoke before this or any other
sansminds sharpie effect at least there’s something there that you pay for beyond a disc that I got
find a way to play.

Love the concept, and it's a good all the time in the pocket effect.

I have enjoyed this trick, so easy to do. I made the gimmick in less than a minute. I get great
reactions.

While an interesting trick that can play well. I believe it needs "something" else to go along with
it. Not really a stand alone effect. This trick should have been a part of a lecture. For $20 you
should have got the marker and "gimmick" already prepared. Comparing it to Misled is Misleading.

Pros:
1.) HIGHLY visual
2.) Very easy to gimmick the sharpie
3.) You only need scissors
4.) Placing the gimmick into position is easy and is perfectly disguised with misdirection (It's
not a fishy move. The misdirection is not a huge thing.)
5.) The bill can be signed by the
spectator using the SAME sharpie
6.) The sharpie can be used for other effects. When you're
ready to perform, you can immediately use the same sharpie
Cons:
1.) The angles on the
ad are a bit false. The spectator cannot be to the side of you. It is more like 90 degrees.
2.)
The ENTIRE sharpie cannot be examined too much. All I can say without exposure is that the spectator
CAN write with the sharpie.
3.) I accidentally ripped a dollar in half practicing. This was due
to not being careful and pulling too hard on the gimmick.
Overall, I think this is great! I
knocked off a star for the angle considerations and the price, but I think it is worth it if this is
something you would use. If you like this effect, you won't be disappointed.
They also
suggest gimmicking a Sansminds Sharpie. I thought that was a great idea. You can have a two in one
sharpie. But you obviously can't have the bill signed and given back if you know what a Sansminds
Sharpie does.
