This version is not really that great. The inner row "gimmick" is not the kind that has a nipple that fits into the next piece making it "more" stable. This stiff rope uses CELOPHANE tape which is VERY FLIMSY and does not hold the rope steady. Penguin sells another brand which is much better. I know because I have taken both apart in order to understand the inner workings of them as I use a STIFF rope in every show. I would give this a minus - 1 stars if I could.

I like the stiff rope as an add on to an effect. I do not think it plays strong if it is by itself. Use it in conjunction with a puppet or as a small part in a routine than you have winner.
