First off, you have no control over when the coins fall once you begin the trick. You have to
perfectly time your vanishes and appearances with no way of knowing other than ticking off an
internal clock in your head. Maybe you'll hit it, maybe you won't. On the plus side, the gimmick is
silent when operational, though you can hear the coins moving if you aren't careful when placing the
card box on the glass.
Also, the vanish seen in the video requires a special coin that is
not included. They do teach a vanish using a coin gaff most workers will have, as well as another
using 3 regular coins, but they require you to be seated. Also, any spectator seated at the table
who happens to look under the box while it's on the glass (and after the first appearance it's not
hard to imagine someone leaning in to do it) will see what's happening. Yes, audience management is
part of the game, but if you are doing this table to table and there are kids there, you can expect
the unexpected. Using a glass with a stem isn't required and it will help avoid that possibility,
even though it's not as pretty.
For what you are getting, I feel it's very overpriced.
Also, there is a part of the gimmick that isn't secured as it should be and after a few times it
could slip out of place, causing the whole thing to fail.
Timing is everything with this
trick and with practice you can probably get very close to your timing for the appearances, but
you'll have to put in the work to make it convincing.

This is a great trick and was so when it was created and marketed by Dr. Marty Schwartz over 25
years ago as Improved Robot Coins in Glass. This is a direct theft of his design, which was an
improvement over previous versions by Jon Martin and Ken Allen. There is no way this should be sold.
this product is pure thievery! Shame on you Penguin Magic for selling this product!

Even if you DO buy this, you'll have to figure out (magically) how to make it work since the
manufacturer has pulled the (entirely sketchy) instructional video. This is the problem with never
including instructions in the product, y'all.

Okay,
BIGGEST disadvantage is that it takes time to setup and transportation movement is a
LITTLE tricky, but not too bad. It is silent, and you can be somewhat creative about peering eyes
(per other review). It is okay for close-up/table, but GREAT for platform. A little distance goes a
long way.
The timing is a little tricky, but not too bad. One, if you are too early,
you can play it for laughs, particularly with the first or last coin.
If you are late, you
keep the hand closed to show it has vanished AFTER the drop. This is very effective.
IT
is a bit pricey, but kinda fun. It is a bit of a fooler and looks great on video.
