Chop-Doh is a copy of Play-Chop. UnderMagic sells this product since 2016 and it is handcrafted by
Josemari Alcazar. Even the final load is handmade and not just a rubber duck. Javier Natera credits
Josemari Alcazar. But Josemari Alcazar and Adrián Carratalá from UnderMagic haven't been asked for
permission for the release of this product.

I have owned a lot of Chop Cups over the years and have been performing my Chop Cup routine in
professional shows for over a decade. As far as this version goes, it should have been $20 less for
what you get.
I'll begin by saying the gimmicked ball I received is much larger than the
non-gimmicked balls. Therefore, the first time I performed a routine using this set for someone,
they immediately noticed the size difference and said, "I don't think that's the same ball". This
is obviously not ideal, as I then had to play it off as a growing ball trick instead.
If
you are new to the Chop Cup, you get a collection of simple moves from the tutorial, but you will
not get a routine. I could see this being a deal-breaker for someone less experienced. The cup
itself is a bit flimsy and may crack easily, so be gentle with it or it will surely not last.
Overall, there are much better Chop Cups on the market and though this one has a fun look and
theme to it, I would certainly not purchase it again at this price.

Purchased Chop-Doh as an alternative to my other chop cup routines and the presentation video by
Murphy's Magic make it look so wonderful but alas not is all wonderful when you receive the prop.
The magnet which is stuck inside the Chop cup can be seen quite visibly which defeats the
idea that it is just a Play Doh container. The magnet is too strong so you need to bang the cup down
very hard to release the ball.
I am not the only one who is disappointed with this prop,
check out the comments on themagiccafe.com and search Chop-Doh.
To avoid disappointment
don't bother buying it.

The magnet in the ball is so powerful it will not release no matter how hard I pound the plastic
cup...plus when I tried to fix it, then the bottom with magnet would come out with ball.If you are
going to buy this effect you should check it out physically on location. I would not buy on-line it
is a big let down....
I love the Chop Cup! Part of my act for over 50 years! This is a real fun version for young kids!

Undermagic copy the idea to Chad Long, Who publish this idea long time a go. Undermagic know that
because they see the idea in "La Dama Inquieta" magazine, in article of Carlos Hampton, and
Undermagic never ask permit to Chad for manufacture and sell the trick in his store. So?
