I love this deck, the design is innocent and with a glance I get all the information I need. It
happens so fast it appears my head was turned the other way. Plus I can see the markings from quite
a distance. I fooled a room of magicians with a casual waterfall fall of the cards untill a
spectator said stop, or change their mind. Total free choice.

My only point of dissatisfaction is that, since I'm not a memdeck user, I would have preferred
having a choice to select the deck without Mnemonica numbers. Otherwise, the cards handle well,
feature Phill Smith's genius Optical Marking System, have an improved one-way indicator on the card
backs, and are in all other ways equal or superior to the DMC Elites family of decks. Buy a pair in
both colors; you won't be sorry.

This is my first foray into the Phill Smith universe. I bought two decks of the reds.
Positives: The optical marking system is easy to see once you know it. Even if your eyesight is
less than perfect, you should be able to read these. If you don't know Mnemonica, this will help
you learn it and perform tricks even if you don't know the stack by heart.
Negatives: The
card stock is slick and stiff and not anything like the cards you are probably used to. Also, there
are a lot of marks!!! I would have preferred just the card marks.
If you are a fan of
Phill Smith's work, you will not be disappointed. If you don't care about the optical marking
system, by the Penguin Marked Deck. Much cheaper and just as easy to read.
