How are there no reviews for this??? I love this trick and have been performing it for years every
chance I get! I always carry in my wallet. I do all the moves in the context of my own routine and
always casually hand out to the spectator who is both entertained and befuddled with wonder. It's
amazing how non-intuitive the basic p****e move is for a layperson.
In Penguin Magic
Monthly: December 2018 I discuss a simple, yet weird rationale for presenting this prop to the
spectator.
Three minutes of great impromptu magic!
Although it will last a
lifetime, don't just buy one, buy several in case you lose it! I definitely did, so I don't suffer
withdrawal if the one in my wallet goes missing (which it has!).
Very well made as the ad
copy says. Easily worth the 20 bucks for the quality and the amount of times you'll use it.
Tip: If somehow you ever scrape off any of the black color (e.g. after dropping on a cement
sidewalk), just touch up with a sharpie.
Did I say how much I LOVE the Amazing Jumping
Arrow!?

-Fits in your pocket without a worry that it will break. I use patter as if I found a broken compass
needle and how insistant it is that I go "That" direction. I pull out my phone, display the compass
and demonstrate how it refuses to point North as a gag.
-"Which direction are there beautiful
girls?" ..."Which way to the bank that is handing out free samples?" etc.

I’ve always loved paddle tricks, and this one is as good as it gets.
It’s well made, should
last forever. . . and it’s wonderfully plotted — every move is at least one step ahead of the
spectstor’s thinking. Cannot be anticipated (at least not by any non-magician).
It’ll take a
bunch of practice to execute it perfectly, but what doesn’t?
The only caveat I have is do not
hand it out. Maybe the spectstor won’t figure it out, but you’ll be giving them a clue that they
need not have and I think will weaken the mystery of it. If they can examine the paddle, they’ll
think the trick is clever. If they can’t examine it, they’ll think it’s magic.

This effect is quite visible and includes some creative handling to accomplish the multiple visual
effects. I do have to take some stars away. Can this rate 5 stars? Is this effect going to have
people that witness it describing how amazing it is? Maybe. I just recieved it but I seriously
doubt it. It is well made and a very good effect for the cost. My big complaint is the storyline
of the routine itself. I find it very weak. "Look, I put an arrow on the rod, and now another,
they both move around until...they are done...and now you can examine it". Think of a logical and
entertaining reason for the arrow and this could certainly live in your pocket and be a fun quick
effect (or series of them). If I could rate individual aspects, 5 for value, 2 for supplied routine
patter, 3 for the amazingness overall. I just can't go higher. If I gave it a 5 then what do I
give "intricate web of distraction"...a 10?
In summary, watch the performance video, think of a
story to give the arrow a reason to exist and order it. Very good for the price
