You begin by telling the true story of Toronto's most notorious bank robber, Edwin Alonzo Boyd. In 1951 Boyd robbed a record breaking 11 banks before he was caught by the authorities and held downtown in the Don Jail. Unwrapping a series of folded papers you reveal an old black and white photograph of Boyd behind bars that your audience can fully examine. You wrap the photo inside the papers placing them in the center of the table or laid across the open palms of a spectator. Then yo describe in detail the riveting tale about Boyd's jail break and how he escaped by eluding the guards and conquered the city's toughest prison. You then slowly unwrap the papers disclosing the photograph that is now permanently altered. The face and body of Edwin Alsonzo Boyd has been ripped right out of the photograph, leaving a gaping hole the audience can see through. Underneath the photograph lies the only evidence of Boyd's daring escape. A broken hacksaw blade that has suddenly appeared out of nowhere!
