Do you have to use dollars?

In Stand Up Chinese Hole by Mario Lopez do you have to use large dollar coins? Or could I use smaller coins that fit my hands better like quarters, or half dollars?

The dollars are great because they are highly visible, but they are not required.

You can use whatever size coin you feel looks best. The chinese coin could also be swapped out for a coin of a different color. The last phase of the routine uses the hole in the coin as motivation. So you would need to change your presentation slightly to accommodate a different coin.
