Ladies and Gentlemen...I am giving no secrets away when I say IF the cards are to separate into red
and black...the spectator is not going to do the separation. You must take responsibility for
creating the Magic. What the presentation of Shaun and Dan has done is CREATE the illusion that all
of the MAGIC takes place in the spectators hands.
We should acknowledge the contributions
in Greg Rastami's Cosmos Duo. Greg uses the same gimmick to good effect at the get ready. And he
uses a couple nice subtleties to finesse the classic midway cross over and the ending cross over
display. But really a presentation variation on manage the cards to start, mange the cross over and
manage the display. That is the classic method.
Here...the spectator shuffles...the
spectator deals...the spectator collects the cards...and the spectator (could) do the whole reveal.
Dan simply reviews where we are...based on the spectators handling. The magic moment is moved all
the way to just before the reveal.
No ordering the cards to start...no ordering the cards
in the middle...no ordering the cards in the display.
Done right...the EFFECT should FEEL
as if done completely in the spectators hands.
No funny move upfront...no "leader
cards"...no change the red and black in the middle...no funny display at the end.
Here
spectator shuffles...Dan clean demonstrates good mix...Spectator deals with absolutely no
interruption...Spectator collects the cards...Dan Recaps...Spectator reveals all black and red. In
demo Dan does the reveal but there is no necessity...the magic is all done. Spectator could with
direction do entire reveal.
Now ladies and Gentleman...eliminating the starting
ordering...eliminating the management in the middle ordering...and eliminating the management of the
ending display. COME onnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! That's true advancement.
All for the cost of one
move facilitated with the gimmick in a strong routine the move is easily invisible. Clean to
start...clean to end.
Use the gimmick for effects before and after. Yes...its not going
to be a magician fooler. But at the odds of a billion to one...its going to FRY the minds of
spectators all.
Bravo...Shaun and Dan.
