I give it 5 stars, because the effect is really good, out of proportion to the effort. No sleights.
A tiny bit of speccy mgmt. Easy trick to get into, and you can continue to do other card tricks
afterward with no deck switch required. Good thinking. I'll be doing this tomorrow.
The only
suggestion I have is concerning the video explanation. If the explanations and comments about the
various phases of the effect were repeated only TWICE, that would be enough. But constant repetition
begets tediousness and outright irritation. Maybe you could have just gone through the effect and
explained things as they came up, from beginning to end. Then, you could go back and add comments
re: subtleties, cautions, etc. No need to do this over and over. And over. And over again. And
again.
That being said - it's a GREAT trick, and congratulations for the thinking that went into
it. And I'd rather the explanation be too detailed and repetitious than overly brief.
Agree 100%! I see this all the time. It's like they don't realize uh...this is on VIDEO. We can speed it up, slow it down, repeat as often as necessary so we get it. PLEASE edit repetitive explanations. This isn't live TV! It's the most obvious thing in the world, so why does this never get "fixed"? omg...
Hey, first 5 star reviewer up there, which is it? First you rant about repetition to the point of being tedious, and then you recant saying, 'I'd rather the explanation be too detailed and repetitious than overly brief.'
So, which is it?
It’s both. They guy is saying the explanation is beyond tedium, but, if it had to be one or the other, better this, than t-other. But really, he’s making the point that it’s very very tedious. Which is unnecessary.
