I give it 5 stars, because the effect is really good, out of proportion to the effort. No sleights.
A tiny bit of speccy mgmt. Easy trick to get into, and you can continue to do other card tricks
afterward with no deck switch required. Good thinking. I'll be doing this tomorrow.
The only
suggestion I have is concerning the video explanation. If the explanations and comments about the
various phases of the effect were repeated only TWICE, that would be enough. But constant repetition
begets tediousness and outright irritation. Maybe you could have just gone through the effect and
explained things as they came up, from beginning to end. Then, you could go back and add comments
re: subtleties, cautions, etc. No need to do this over and over. And over. And over again. And
again.
That being said - it's a GREAT trick, and congratulations for the thinking that went into
it. And I'd rather the explanation be too detailed and repetitious than overly brief.

I do love the trick, the thought behind it, the presentation, the easy and natural way it flows.
It's a real fooler!! Chris put bunches of thought into this, and every part is important. So why
the four stars? Chris, I was not able to finish the explanation. In the first few minutes, I got
the idea. Not that the points made after that weren't important or needed, but the explanation
sounded like the same thing over and over again. If you re-do the video (please do, it's a Great
trick) cut it in half. Trust me, we get the idea. Tell the fine points once you start the real
work. I thought I saw at the end there was a part that included a real two-person work-through I
really want to see. But I couldn't stick through it. I'll probably watch the last third tomorrow.
I'll bet it contains some great points.

A nice idea but do we have ro market every idea for a 10 $ download? This could be in a book or
tought in a lecture but not sold as a single download. Is it a magican fooler, no, its accurat what
I and maybe most of u think it is. The one hour explaination is faaaar toooooo loooong.

This is a terrific effect, and it's made even stronger by having the spectator do most of the work.
Yes, the video explanation is a bit long, as some other people have mentioned, but being a
relative novice at cards like I am, I appreciate the longer explanation. (Also, the beautiful
British accent is easy on the ears. =^)
Suggestion, which I hope is not a spoiler as the ending
is shown in the example video. I think the ending could be even stronger if the spectator did ALL of
the card revealing themselves. For example, the spec could turn over their card, then your card,
then the card on the side, and then find the hidden card in the middle of the deck. That makes it
completely hands off from you and I feel a much stronger finish. Psychologically, it's them we
creating the magic and not you. Other than that minor suggestion, this is a great effect, very
beginner friendly, and it is thoroughly explained.

This is a really great effect that uses no sleight of hand.
The instructional video is an hour
long, so Chris does go through everything very thoroughly. However, the basic method only takes a
few minutes to learn. It is performed just like you see in the video. Also, because of the way its
accomplished, while the result is the same (4 aces), how you get there can look different from
performance to performance. So if someone sees you perform it twice, it will still look very fair
and not scripted.

The simplicity of this effect is astonishing. With about 5 minutes of practice you will be
performing feat with confidence. I'm still floored at how absolutely fair it is to the spectator,
yet diabolical to the magician.
Chris Rawlins covers this effect so well that I absolutely
have confidence in the performance.
The best magic is magic on the fly.. You can find any
deck of cards and perform this beauty.

From the tedious tuition.... Chris is just, I believe, trying to make sure those watching "get it",
however, their are certain things, whether a complete beginner or master magician, you do not need
to be told 5, 6 or 7 times. I could give a few examples but might tip the trick. Best of it is, if
you are even an intermediate magician, as soon as you see the opening 5 minutes of the explanation,
you KNOW how to do the trick.
Moving on from the tuition.... Do not get fooled by the
video. The result shown does happen, but not necessarily quite as clean as shown, due to the method.
Before putting it through its paces in front of a live audience my OH, kept asking, why do that
then, but not now.... and to be fair she had a point. Without tipping the method, its hard to
describe what I mean.
The closest way I can do it is..... Imagine playing Texas Hold em. Their
is a certain procedure on how the river, flop and turn cards are actually done. If that procedure
isnt carried out by the dealer BIG questions would get asked.. quite rightly.
Depending on how
a certain part of the trick (the main component) works out, it leaves you very vulnerable to such
obvious questions.
I wont be using this anywhere near an audience.... maybe as a bit of fun, but
not as part of any of my acts.

I expect this trick will be as good as it looks in the teaser once I get through the video, but his
explanation is so ridiculously slow and repetitive and crazy-making that I can only manage about 10
minutes of it at a time.

I really like the effect but how many times does it need repeating on how to shuffle and cut the
pack?
It is clean, has great impact and really easy to do.
However, this hour
long video could easily be cut to 20 minutes and still have time for a coffee break :-)

The trick operates as advertised. The variety of performance examples was helpful. The instructions
could have been concise. Many points were repeated several times (where once was sufficient). Mr
Rawlins came across as a likeable performer and presenter.
