Magic Tricks

Boring read, in the first half of the book he goes over some tricks you can do with one gimmick in particular and I only liked the oil and water routine, so almost the entire first half of the book was not worth my time to read. In the first half of the book when I was reading the description of the effect I came up with a propless way of doing the same effect that he did with a gimmick which means if you did perform it that way you will have to carry a lot of gimmicked cards and different thing with you when you could just do a non gimmicked version that is almost identical looking to what the original effect was. I was also really looking forward to the mentalism section in the book but none of it even seemed like mentalism it was just more card tricks other than the lottery which I did like but In my state gambling in illegal so almost nobody even knows what the lottery is and they don't care either. so I can't perform that unless I have a show out of state. but he does give some good advice for Television magic that could be helpful for you. with all of that being said if you are looking for effects in my opinion they are not here because they are not as good as they sound in the trailer. for $50 I would of expected great effects but these effects are just Eh.
