I have folded Robert Neale's Bunny Bill from a dollar. It's very charming, but too complicated and
time-consuming to do in front of spectators. When I saw the ad for Butchered Bunny, I bought it
right away, because I thought it would be great to have a quick version of the Bunny that I could do
as part of walk-around. The trouble is that the video does not do a good job of explaining how to
do the necessary paper folds. The teaching in the first part of the video is very clear and easy to
follow. But when the video comes to "flattening the rabbit's ears," the teaching becomes
inadequate. The teacher is obviously trying hard and keeps holding up the folded bunny to the
camera as he works, but at least for me it was impossible to see exactly what he was doing or
imitate it. The original Bunny Bill by Neale was accompanied by very detailed written instructions
with meticulous drawings. I think something similar is needed for Butchered Bunny. The steps
involved in finishing the ears are just too complicated to convey with a video alone. Too bad. The
underlying idea of a Quick Bunny Bill is just great.
