Dan Harlan does a great job of being entertaining while teaching magic. He also goes over the
concepts behind these tricks, teaching things that will improve all of your magic.
Some
tricks are inspired by the recent Tarbell tricks he's covered -- in particular, Sightless Sight from
lesson 84 and Telephone Number Prediction from lesson 91.
The only of these tricks that I
plan to try out myself are Push and Psychic Paper. If I ever get into gimmicked coins, Rising Dough
is one I'll keep in mind. The only one I didn't like at all was Win/Win which I though was too much
work for the effect.
A negative is that this lecture is misnamed as there was nothing
"live" about it. Most of it was recorded over a month ago, when Harlan had a smaller beard.
