From the tedious tuition.... Chris is just, I believe, trying to make sure those watching "get it",
however, their are certain things, whether a complete beginner or master magician, you do not need
to be told 5, 6 or 7 times. I could give a few examples but might tip the trick. Best of it is, if
you are even an intermediate magician, as soon as you see the opening 5 minutes of the explanation,
you KNOW how to do the trick.
Moving on from the tuition.... Do not get fooled by the
video. The result shown does happen, but not necessarily quite as clean as shown, due to the method.
Before putting it through its paces in front of a live audience my OH, kept asking, why do that
then, but not now.... and to be fair she had a point. Without tipping the method, its hard to
describe what I mean.
The closest way I can do it is..... Imagine playing Texas Hold em. Their
is a certain procedure on how the river, flop and turn cards are actually done. If that procedure
isnt carried out by the dealer BIG questions would get asked.. quite rightly.
Depending on how
a certain part of the trick (the main component) works out, it leaves you very vulnerable to such
obvious questions.
I wont be using this anywhere near an audience.... maybe as a bit of fun, but
not as part of any of my acts.
