I have always had an affinity for magic kits/sets. Each one promised more secrets, the abilities to
do something even MORE astonishing than all others. In the 70's, they all had a competition going
on, and they never failed at providing a ton of magical secrets and information. The props were
almost never up-to-par, cheap and sometimes garbage. But you learned the principles, then could buy
better or make your own props that suited your performance.
That is exactly what I get from
these lectures. Great magic, sometimes less than what I expected, and most times I cannot use the
effect because the method doesn't fit my performance style. Still I've got different stuff in my
arsenal to play with, and when I need a method to make something happen, at least I've got a solid
starting point.
They are much more economical than buying the pieces individually only to
find out they won't work for you. But the ones that do work, you can change the props to fit how YOU
perform. Add and take-away what you wish. Make it your own.
In this video you will find a
versatile and diverse mix of magical information (much like a magic set) which hits every aspect of
magical performance from simple to complex, from psychological to dexterous. I enjoyed how Jamie
said he doesn't know "knuckle-busting moves", but then proceeds to show you another knuckle-busting
move.
Much like a magic set, there will be things on here YOU can use (depending on your
performance style), and some best left to someone else. I do highly recommend this, especially to
those that used to appreciate a good magic set/kit.
