It's shiny as hell, so if you were to use it with pennies it could look a bit odd because even
uncirculated pennies don't shine that much. It's shinier than a brand new copper bullion too.
Me, I use it as color change with Ike dollars without according any thoughts to what it really
is, other than a big reddish coin. I just find the difference between this and a silver or nickel
coin is super visual.
It's the exact same diameter as a US Ike dollar, which is great and
sometimes quite hard to find if you want something else than Chinese coins that all have a hole in
the middle.
It's made of metal. Would have been awesome if it was made with copper, but it
seems and feels more like some sort of coating. It doesn't feel and smell that little something like
all copper coins do. I tried to scrape off a bit of it using a knife, but didn't manage to get to
its real color, so I believe it's durable.
Engraving on the Head side is pretty thick,
which I don't like as much. It would give you a hard time in an Okito Box or other props.
It has a smooth edge. It doesn't handle and grip as well as an Ike dollar. But it's not the
worst I've seen. It weights about 16g, so it's lighter than an Ike dollar. But it's decent.
I think I'll carry it in my wallet for some months and see if it ages well. Or maybe sand paper
it a bit. I'll see.
