Five stars for four reasons:
1. As a hobbyist, I find this exceptionally thorough and
clear, not just technically but also in regard to presentation and its versatility for a variety of
effects. Be sure to watch til the end for the full benefit of the logistics of the hold out
including sight lines.
2. The title move is ingenious and simple, simple enough even for a
hobbyist (albeit with practice), and can be done for any of a myriad variation of effects that, with
just a little foresight mixed with opportunism, can be brought up and worked in a casual setting.
3. Brent is thorough not just in explaining the title move but in describing the moves that
his is meant to improve upon.
4. There are some bonus effects, and while gaffes are
required, they are simple and generally makeable at home with little investment in time or money.
Note: “effects” isn’t the right word, but neither is “moves.” What he gives is a tool, I suppose.
I would love for this to be in print format. While I have a large electronic library, my
preference remains with books and pamphlets. Granted, the demonstrations would not be nearly so
clear that way, so that would be its own drawback.
Well worth the price.
