I am going to start by saying that I did not buy the previous gimmicks and I do not understand
why... However, this is LITERALLY one of the best gimmicks you can bring along with you. It is a
miracle that fits right in your pocket. You will conscientiously perform it over and over for
yourself and never get tired of it.
PROS:
- Packs small but plays big
- Extremely
easy to do
- If it is in your pocket, it is impromptu
- As magical as it gets
-
Extremely visual
- There are a ton more pros, but you get the point
CONS:
- THERE
AREN'T ANY
- Like seriously... If anybody has any, by all means, let me know, however, I will
probably disagree because WOW is just that good!
Do yourself a favor and get this. If you
can't afford it but are planning to buy something cheaper... DON'T. Save up and get this!
I wish I could give it ten stars honestly, this and loops are the top two gimmicks you can
carry. Don't wait until it is out of stock to start regretting that you did not listen to me!!!
If this is still a pre-order, how did you get it in March?
Probably came with an instant download and just waiting on the physical gimmick.
Don't review tricks that you don't even have and are not even out yet.
Umm... in case you didn’t notice sirbrad, it says VERIFIED BUYER next to his name, we know he has it, he probably got it at a lecture or something, or maybe he has an in with someone at penguin enabling him to get it early
You asked for "cons" - I have one, sort of. I had WOW2.0 and ended up selling it. Reason? What is the (logical) justification for putting the card into the sleeve? I never had a good reason other than to say, "watch as I put the card in this (allegedly normal) sleeve." - which I just can't do.
That said - WOW2.0 was a fantastic transformation, and 3.0 should be even better. If you can overcome the "why" factor - I say go for it.
Duncmon, there are no cons you just need to use your imagination, do people have an excuse to jump inside a box handcuffed thats about to explode and then Dissapear and appear across the other side of the room? No they don't, you need to use the item to your advantage and to your method of performance and when you do, this trick is phenominal, it's something I have been doin for years as people don't see this as a card trick they see this as pure magic. In my performance not only do I reveal the SIGNED card that they just saw me loose inside the deck but it's a transpotiotion as the card they see me put into the WOW device ends up back in there hands and I even end completely clean so absolutely everything in play at the end is inspectable. I still have people talking about how amazed they were to this day, even when people say "i don't like card tricks" my friends and family literally speak up before I can and say this ain't no card trick!!!
@Duncmon. I use the sleeve to "isolate" the card so my grubby hands can't get at it. Magi like to isolate things. It turns a trick into "test conditions."
Selvedin Planincic had me at "Like seriously"
Con: I bought a small magic kit at the dollar store several years for $1. This gimmick was included. It's identical. $39 dollars for this? Are you serious? But I guess if you can't get it anymore at the dollar store then go for it. I love using this trick though. Really neat how it works.

To ME, there is no magical effect at all. A magician puts a card into a mysterious box that looks like has screens on both sides and as the picture on the screen changes, he takes the changed card from the box. The transformation is not magical, it is fishy to say the least. I am not at all impressed with this prop and there are tons of self-working card tricks. Really, you can make impromptu non-setup borrowed-deck tricks to much greater an effect.
That is me. If you like it, and more importantly, you know your audience would love it, go for it. I would not express that opinion, but you have asked for it.
Well, if someone would get the version of this trick WITHOUT the eerie box, just bare hands, borrowed deck... that would be magic, and WOW, and all.
I use this often in my walk around set. Gets good to great reactions everytime. Only downside I found (and that can be said with many other props) is be WARY OF HUMIDITY OR RAIN. Once at an outside gig it rained just a little bit, I took out WOW3 and couldn't do it, the gimmick suddenly wouldn't move. It took months before it could work again. So I would strongly suggest not using it if the conditions are not perfect. Lightning has to be good, too, if not it's hard to see the effect.
