I have been looking for a simple center tear since I watched Brian Gillis'(RIP) Penguin Live Lecture
to perform the First Kiss/Star Sign Prediction. Aside from this review, if you are looking for a
solid lecture with a ton of usable material, then check out Brian Gillis' Live Lecture here on
Penguin.
Regarding Scott Alexander's Revolving Center Tear:
This is a great, simple
center tear. It is less complicated than a center tear like Pink which I also learned, but I was not
a fan of the mechanics for Pink.
My opinion:
Pros
- Super easy to perform.
Practicing the presentation and timing are the key here. The tear itself does not get much easier.
- It can be done with any small scratchpad.
- There is only one fold.
- Price - Is fair
for an impromptu miracle/a forever tool for your toolbox.
Cons
- There is only one
fold. Which feels a little suspicious to me.
There are ways to mitigate the suspiciousness
of a single fold. Scott gives you presentation ideas that help mitigate it, and it really comes down
to your performance style but the limitation does not outweigh the benefit of this utility.
If you want a simple center tear to use as a go-to tool, then this is definitely a solid option.
Kudos to Scott Alexander. I recommend this purchase if you want to add a center tear
prediction to your act.
Thank you,
Chris F.
