that I mean a mere 30 words). If the participant happens to select one of those, out of the 2,557
five-letter nouns available in the English language, then you will look like a mind reader. So, if
they pick "thong" it works. If they select "apple" - a much more likely choice - it wont.

I disagree with the commenter that says "apple" would not be chosen if you follow the scripting. It can be chosen. I perform this after a food effect and do a "ok...no more food tricks, let's pick a different kind of word" line to the effect. I also have to say a few extra things to emphasize "a single item" to prevent things like "shoes." There are definitely other holes in this effect, but it destroys when it hits.
