I almost did not give this five stars because the word "impromptu" should not have been used in the
ad copy. It creates the impression you show up somewhere unprepared yet do tricks with what happens
to be around.
The better description is the ad copy "Losander presents his show out of
pocket." He teaches how, with two standard magician's devices (1-2 TTs and one set of L***s), a
dollar bill, and 2-3 silks, you can put on a very baffling and entertaining 15 minute show that
could be a stand-up stage/parlor/platform show (like he demonstrates on the DVD) or close up, and
nearly surrounded. Thus, with that minimalistic amount of stuff in your pockets, you can do a show
"Anytime, Anywhere." The ad copy should have said "with minimal requirements in your pockets, you
can do a 15 minute show."
His advice on that standard magician's prop is super and worth
the price of the DVD. I watched his 15 minute show and noticed he was doing some routines that would
benefit from that device. I was watching very closely, but no, it seemed clear he wasn't. Much to
my surprise, during the explanation, it turns out he was in fact using it for a few different
tricks. He shows how to make the device 100% invisible and undetectable to even magicians, as well
as laymen who've heard of that gimmick. I've been using one since age 13 (1973!) and was watching
closely for it and never saw anything. With his approach, it didn't matter how closely I watched
because there was nothing to see.
The bottom line is if you use that gimmick that all
magicians have (and most use), you should watch this DVD to learn how to take it to the next level.
It will have more versatility and complete invisibility. Thumbs down to the use of the term
"impromptu" but thumbs up for everything else about this DVD.
