This could be a great effect, BUT:
Several folks said this is an easy effect. I strongly
disagree. It requires you to perform a riffle through part of the deck, notice a key card, and then
let that card also drop- stopping the riffle at that point, splitting the deck and moving the bottom
half to the top - ALL supposedly unnoticed by the spectator!
I can't easily control the riffle.
Multiple cards slip past. It would be impossible for me to do it smoothly enough to see the desired
card, let only one card drop on top of it and then split the deck -without the spectator thinking
anything happened.
I wish we didn't have to buy an effect before learning it required some good
card skills. Lots of practice won't get me doing this effect. I am older, and my thumb skin is
smooth - not enough resistance to allow me to control a riffle.
Would a crimp or a breather solve locating the key card faster?
For myself, since I have the same problem, I use a short card.
Honestly, at that point in the effect, you could spread through the deck and just separate the deck at the necessary point. You’re simply doing this under the guise of giving the participant half the deck to shuffle. No riffle is necessary at all.
Hi, it's Michael here and I have just spotted your post/review. I have a collection of alternative moves which you would no doubt find easier and these can be found on the Facebook group for the effect. If you search it out I can bring you in so that you can learn them ;)
Not only has Michael responded to your concern about “the move” being too difficult and suggested that you join a Facebook group for help with alternative methods but if you had watched the tutorial to the end you would have seen much easier alternative moves taught on the original tutorial.
