Good thinking went into the effect and Michael Murray is a beast when it comes to that!
The core method is what I’ve expected it to be.
There is a obvious limitation with this.
I’ve asked myself if a simple thought of your participant could put the illusion at danger. Even
with the nuances explained.
You ask your spectator to name a number and remember the card at
that exact position.
After byplay, a simple but crucial move and convincers you later reveal
the card at that exact position.
The nuances to sell the effect are reasoned but also
necessary.
The whole thing is very procedural and you have to like and sell that.
Fragment seems very well suited for impromtu situations and a borrowed deck on the fly.
It will not replace the versions I already use.
There are much stronger and direct CAAN and
ACAAN around.
The procedural handling of Fragment makes it less transparent (in terms of layers
of deception) but potentially less entertaining in my opinion.
If you like it - go for it!
If you still have a good and working version there is no need to get this.

This could be a great effect, BUT:
Several folks said this is an easy effect. I strongly
disagree. It requires you to perform a riffle through part of the deck, notice a key card, and then
let that card also drop- stopping the riffle at that point, splitting the deck and moving the bottom
half to the top - ALL supposedly unnoticed by the spectator!
I can't easily control the riffle.
Multiple cards slip past. It would be impossible for me to do it smoothly enough to see the desired
card, let only one card drop on top of it and then split the deck -without the spectator thinking
anything happened.
I wish we didn't have to buy an effect before learning it required some good
card skills. Lots of practice won't get me doing this effect. I am older, and my thumb skin is
smooth - not enough resistance to allow me to control a riffle.

Michael Murray may well be the first magician in history to provide a tutorial that ONLY shows an
“over the shoulder view” of the entire effect.
Yes, you read that correctly.
The tutorial
for this effect NEVER shows the face of the magician nor his front side.
Bloody Brilliant!
I hope every magician in the world learns from Michael Murray and puts their egos away and gets
down to the business of teaching magic.
No, I do not want to see your face or front side during
MY tutorial.
Seeing your face and/or your front side only hinders the learning and wastes my
time.
Hooray for Michael Murray for checking his ego at the door and FINALLY providing an
“over the shoulder only” tutorial! Bloody Brilliant!
So, not only is the tutorial Bloody
Brilliant, the effect and method is Bloody Brilliant as well.
Enough said.

Fantastic impromptu effect that's going to be one of my go to's. If you like what you see in the
demo, you shouldn't have any issues with this purchase.

Wow. The effect is amazing, but the instructions were rushed and horribly thrown together. Even as
I was practicing on myself, I came across a few scenarios that were not mentioned in the video that
I had to figure out a way out of without botching the trick.
In conclusion - really
amazing effect.
Absolutely gash coaching/instruction.

This is another winner from Michael. No surprise there. I was lucky enough to have this for a while
now. What I love about this effect is that the method is simple but very well hidden. The added
subtleties that are taught in the video are the finishing touches to an already great routine.
If you are a fan of the plot, I believe this is a must-have.

This effect blew me away. I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it. I honestly can not think of
any cons of this effect. Everything you see in the demo is exactly what happens. Nothing is taken
out. I have shown this to about 8 magicians and non of them had any clue of how this was done.

Will fit nicely with other name and number tricks in my routine. Still working to polish “the move”,
and though creating a hot deck I may opt for. One of the options demonstrated.

I'm not really a fan of ACAAN plots but this one fooled me badly so I picked it up on a whim. So
glad that I did! I worried that the procedure would be boring but thankfully the procedure is
minimal and the reactions I've gotten from this have been incredible. Best yet, absolutely no set
up and can truly be done with a borrowed deck. Doesn't even have to be a complete deck. I can't
say enough good things about this one. Not good for a noisy bar but if you've got fairly attentive
spectators, this is an absolute winner.

Impromptu CAAN with only one move. It's not a very difficult move, but first it needs some practice
to be done smoothly, and secondly it must be done in synchronisation with your patter, without
looking at your hands. It is necessary to do this move perfectly and at the right moment, for this
routine to be successful. Michael provides some alternatives for the move, but he says himself that
he prefers the move he teaches first. Personally, I do not like this move very much and I find the
alternatives are not so convincing, so I prefer to use another move I know.
