I play guitar, and found that this illusion plays very well with a guitar pick. When I perform on guitar there is usually a glass on a coaster in front of me, and when I finish a song, I simply turn the glass upside down, clearly show the guitar pick in my hand, and pow, it penetrates the bottom of the glass to end up on the coaster. A great magical ending to a musical interlude.
