This effect will fool just about all laymen, and a fair share of magicians too! There is more to it then shown in the video. However, it is still a very solid effect in my opinion due to it's clever construction. There is no sleight of hand involved, but there is definitely some "Sleight of tongue", and you will need to practice the possible outcomes to perform it smoothly.
