The content of this DVD is beautifull. Technics are really pure and nice and they are perfectly
explained. Also usefull tips are given as well as tutorial to build fan holder.
Two types of fan
are used.
1) what he calls "kung fu fan" which is the format we usually find at magic dealer as
"big fan". It is about 35 cm long. It is the good format for butterfly blizzard, for example. And it
can be used for fan vanish and production, but in my opinion, the visual aspect of production (and
vanish) is much less "clean" than with the second format of fan.
2) the main format that
Po-Cheng Lai uses is a 21 cm long fan. I struggled to find any but they can be obtained for about
10 bucks. It is a "chinese" or "japanese" fan made of bamboo or wood. The technics using these
smaller fans are really pure and beautiful!
Of course you won't master all the technics at once.
You need your fingers to get used to it. But I don't think they are really difficult.
