I originally found this mentioned in a course on public speaking. By asking a series of indirect questions you guide a person to freely and randomly "choose" in their mind the color Gray, the animal Elephant and the country Denmark. They are bewildered to see you happen to know those answers - I use this all the time, and having the card to go with it is makes this cool trick much more powerful.
