With the caveat that I have not yet developed a routine, much less performed, I think this is a great utility addition to Garrett's close up ring set. I saw Levent lecture on this gaff and am happy to see Matthew adapted it to close up. The props are well made and will survive "managed" examination. Working the gaff is easy enough; once I have this worked into a complete routine I expect it will fool (or at least confuse) those "in the know" about linking rings.
