The very obvious reason for buying this trick is the fact that it is completely impromptu. Not semi, not sort of - completely. Yes, there is one thing that you might want to have on you rather than borrowing it, but you can get along anyway in my opinion. Erik's teaching is excellent, the tutorial is excellent, and there is plenty of variation if you're having trouble with one of the phases (one of them I personally use).
