It looks like a fake cube from any angle and distance.

Thanks for your assessment. However, it looks pretty cool. Regarding the fake look, he seems to turn the sides of the cube similar to an actual one. I was thinking that it was just an inside of a sponge ball, but when he tosses it in the air the weight seems perception seems heavier. Thoughts?
