Generally speaking I am a big fan of the World's Greatest Magic videos as you receive an education
on an effect by several professional magicians. The fabulous three ball trick video is no different.
Johnny Thompson's performance is classic and smooth. David Roth's contributes a wonderful move to
the routine.
The video quality is good (although the resolution is wanting when compared to
today's video capability). The audio is clear. The instruction is clear and you will have no trouble
learning this effect.
The only criticism I have is on the effect itself. Are three balls
jumping from one hand to the other and eventually vanishing entertaining? Especially when compared
to the sponge balls which happens in the volunteer's hands? Or when compared to the cups & balls
which can be performed on stage? This effect has been used on stage as well, but the cups & balls
could certainly provide a better viewing for the spectators. The fabulous three ball trick is
worthwhile because it strips the cups & balls down to the essentials, does not require a table, and
we've all had a ball to play with at some point in our life. I absolutely love this effect with a
good presentation.
