The zany demo video doesn't do this trick justice...the effect is very straightforward: you place a straw into the hole of the metal tab on a borrowed can of soda, and then pull it straight through the tab! You then hand out the straw and the can!

I love the method...it's simple and elegant, and the gimmick can be created at a moment's notice. Being able to hand everything out immediately is nice, too.

This is a visual, quick moment of magic that will surprise your audience, and it's a perfect lead-in to other penetration effects. Maybe say it was while drinking a soda when you were a kid that you realized you could pass solid through solid. Then build from there.
