This is a nice effect. For me it is a combination of several I have used over the years. One of
those had a similar rising Voo Doo doll effect and of course, the other, 'Ashes' on the palm. I had
not seen them used together, but I like it this way. I have no problem with the Voo Doo portion of
the effect and you can create your patter to be singular focus and get two effects from it, all
under the 'Header' of "Voo Doo". Some say, you can leave the rising doll portion out. I use it
because people seem to like and it serves as a further 'time distraction' to what you have already
done involving 'the ashes'. I think this one a little 'pricey' because neither effect is 'new'
although, what you receive I consider 'nice', AND you get the combination of the two effects that
can make sense, used together. You also get detailed, excellent instructions. This effect provides
insight and opportunity to facilitate the 'marking system', which is great but I just don't find
that necessary. Just prepare yourself prior to approaching the spectator. 2 Seconds. I don't have
to reach into my pocket to do anything except to remove my 'silver box' and you could have that in
your hand as you approach the spectator. Nothing complicated about that. Upon introduction, if the
spectator shakes your hand, so much the better! So, I would say, this effect is easier than it is
presented but there is nothing wrong with the way it is presented. This can play 'close up' or for
a larger audience. It can be part of a larger presentation or used 'impromptu'. I like to present
it close up and rather 'secretive' like I am about to show them something 'really special', and of
course, you are! It can be presented as 'fun' or something more 'serious'. I alter the patter a bit
for children or adults. The props are nice and you are paying for the clear detailed instructions.
It is fun to perform and it is 'useable'!
