This is, IMO, the culmination of a trick that has been around since Paul Curry created it in 1942 at
age 25.
The improvements are: a shuffled (not stacked) deck (or a borrowed deck which,
of course, no one has); no sleights required (although one is recommended); you start clean and end
clean: and, you have a plausible explanation of the matter AND finally, you make the trick all about
THEM, the spectator.
